Hope for Widows Foundation is a philanthropic, charitable giving organization developed by widowed women that strives to offset the financial challenges of and build community among widowed women worldwide. From its leaders to its newest member, Hope for Widows Foundation is a support system for and developed by widowed women. We seek to empower our members through shared experiences. We open the

door to a new world for widows, ensuring they do not go through their experience alone, but with life-long connections and lasting support. Through our private online support, grief awareness initiatives, resources, programs, and financial support we serve to offer caring advocacy and connection through the entire grieving process. "We can’t eliminate the grief journey, but it’s clear that there are all sorts of things, big and small, that we can do to make the path more manageable." — Chris Park, president of the New York Life Foundation.

“Have you ever struggled to want to speak God’s truth with faith when the weight of your feelings from a situation you find yourself in scream to cry out in despair? Even strong believers and tested warriors can find themselves facing this giant. The enemy is relentless in his efforts to lure us from keeping our eyes firmly focused on our faithful and absolutely GOOD Heavenly Father.

We always have a choice. We can give in to pain and frustration. Or… we can choose as an act of our will to rise above the noise and very real pain and declare our rights as a blood bought daughter of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Look up today, raise your
hands in worship, and ask God to help you rise up out of that grave…”

Learn to speak in faith with honesty and power. Acknowledge your real struggles while boldly declaring God’s truth. This biblical guide helps widows speak life-giving words that align with Scripture and bring victory in Christ.

“How many times have we heard people ask “Why do we, as Christians, still have to suffer in this life?” Doubtless, many of us have voiced that question, especially if our spouses were sick before dying. I myself have asked God “Why? Why did Tommy have to suffer with cancer and the agony of all that goes with it?” I must have asked God that question so many times, it’s a wonder that He continues to stay so patient with me! Even now, almost 2 years on this journey, I still find myself asking why I’m still in this valley that has been my path since his diagnosis in 2021.

My son was just 3 at the time. COVID had caused Tommy to be laid off in 2019, after just 2 weeks at his new job. He ended up riding the unemployment train as long as it lasted, which was quite a while. With the additional funds because of the pandemic, we were living easy. Neither of us worked that year and into the next. It wasn’t until early November 2021 that I finally went back to working again…”

“Browsing one of my online support groups the other day, I saw the post.

The one the new widow makes, where everything is fresh and brand new. We are able to articulate and write things out (I don’t know how), but we are still in some kind of daze.

It doesn’t feel real yet, yet it feels too real; a realness that we fear will never, ever leave us.

We wonder how we will ever feel different. We can’t imagine that we could ever possibly feel some semblance of normal ever again. We know that life will never be the same.

Maybe we don’t even remember sleeping and waking. We might not remember eating, if we even feel like doing so.

Our brain literally cannot make sense of how to go forward at this point, and we beg and plead to have something back that we will never have again.

But go forward once again, we will…”
