September is Life Insurance Awareness Month (LIAM).

What is Life Insurance? In the broadest sense, Life Insurance is a contract between you and an insurance company. In exchange for regular payments (called premiums), the insurance company promises to pay a lump sum of money (called a death benefit) to your chosen beneficiaries when you pass away. The death benefit is designed to provide financial relief for your loved ones and to cover final expenses.
