Your roof protects everything underneath it—but roof problems can go unnoticed until they turn into expensive repairs. Knowing the warning signs can help you plan ahead and avoid an emergency.

🔨 Here are some signs it may be time for a new roof:

- Your roof is getting old
Asphalt shingles typically last around 15–25 years, depending on weather, maintenance, and installation quality.

- Missing, cracked, or curling shingles
Shingles that are cracked, curling, or missing can allow water to reach the layers underneath.

- Granules collecting in your gutters
Excessive granule loss or shingles with bare spots can be a sign that your shingles are deteriorating.

- Water stains or leaks inside your home
Brown or yellow ceiling stains, damp attic insulation, musty odors, or mold can all point to roof problems.

- Sagging or uneven roof lines
A sagging roof can indicate moisture damage or problems with the roof decking or structure. Don't ignore this one!

- Your roof has experienced storm damage ⛈️
Wind, hail, heavy snow, and ice dams can weaken roofing materials—even when the damage isn't obvious from the ground.

👉 Not sure how much life your roof has left? A roof inspection can help you understand its condition and plan ahead before a small problem becomes a major one. Call your preferred Roofing Contractor for their input.

Claims history can play a role in your insurance costs and eligibility, so staying ahead of routine home maintenance is important.

A few things worth keeping an eye on:

🔨 Roof: Watch for missing or damaged shingles, leaks, or signs of aging. Clear out gutters after storms and as seasons change.

💧 Plumbing: Fix small leaks before they turn into water damage.

🔥 HVAC: Keep up with regular maintenance and replace aging components when needed.

⚡ Electrical: Address outdated or faulty wiring and electrical issues before they become a bigger problem.

Insurance is there for you when you need it. Preventing the avoidable problems that can turn into costly damage is key. Home maintenance is a lot cheaper than a major insurance claim!

How's your dryer vent looking these days? If you can't remember the last time it was cleaned...it's probably time!

Did you know it's recommended to have your dryer vent cleaned at least once a year? Many homeowners remember to clean the lint trap after every load, but forget about the buildup that can happen inside the vent.

That was a nasty storm today.

After severe storms, we sometimes hear about contractors showing up at your front door offering to "inspect storm damage." While there are many reputable local contractors, storm chasers often travel from community to community after severe weather, using high-pressure sales tactics to get homeowners to sign contracts or pay for unnecessary repairs. In some cases, they may even exaggerate damage.

Here are a few tips to help protect yourself:

✅ Don't let anyone on your roof unless you know and trust who they are. If your insurance company needs an inspection, they will coordinate it with you.

✅ Talk to your insurance agent first before signing contracts or agreeing to repairs. We're happy to help you determine the best next steps.

✅ Prevent additional damage. If your home has been damaged, take reasonable steps to keep it from getting worse (such as placing a tarp over a damaged roof) and then contact your insurance agent as soon as possible.

✅ Be cautious of high-pressure sales tactics. If someone is demanding an immediate decision, asking for large upfront payments, or insisting you sign paperwork on the spot, that's a major red flag.

If you have questions about storm damage, your coverage, or whether you should file a claim, we're just a phone call away. (920)933-3304

We're always happy to help you make an informed decision when storms cause damage!
