Medicare does NOT cover you when you are out of the country. Your Medicare Supplement plan does though. It will cover 80% up to a maximum of $50,000. I highly recommend that you buy a separate travel medical plan. $50,000 may not be enough coverage and getting claims reimbursed for foreign providers is not easy.
