Well folks, it sure does look like the end of the low long-term interest rates we've seen for the last number of years. The experts said if Trump were to win the stock market would fall and so would rates. They must've been the same people doing the national polling! We've seen the 30 Year Rate Jump .500% since last Tuesday, and there's no indication of how long the sell off of Mortgage Backed Securities will last. If you are buying or refying, I hope you are locked.

This is good news for FHA Home Buyers. A .50% reduction in the monthly Mortgage Insurance Premium (MIP) would represent a savings of about $83 per month on a $200K loan amount.

In a speech to be delivered tomorrow in suburban Phoenix, the President may announce a reduction of FHA mortgage premiums.
