They simply stop accessing it.

A recent Virginia report found that 36,000 people canceled their Marketplace coverage in April alone, while thousands more were disenrolled due to nonpayment.

The result?

People delay care.
Skip medications.
Forgo preventive treatment.
And often end up relying on emergency services when health issues become more serious.
