NAR is done, their business model is dead and their stranglehold on residential real estate has been broken. North Texas is setting precedence by decoupling membership with access; and it is breaking loose nationwide. We are seizing this opportunity to grow and create a brand that serves only our clients and not a trade association. REALTOR® is a made up word. It means nothing. We are licensed, independent, fiduciary agents and our code of ethics is above reproach. We can do everything they can do without 3rd party interference. To clients and agents, this is the best thing to happen in residential real estate in a long, long time. I'm passionate about it and I'd love to talk to anyone who is interested in learning more.

In response to the suit filed today - I've made my primary living as an independent Texas real estate broker for many years. I never wanted to join the National Association of Realtors (NAR). Ever. I cringe when someone calls me Realtor. I worked hard to get here, and I'm an independent Texas broker. But you have to join NAR, or you simply cannot compete in the residential space due to their anti-trust hold on key box access. And when I join, every single agent I sponsor also has to join as does any other firm where I become broker of record. Whether they want to join or not. They have led the entire industry astray, been found guilty of all manner of offenses and today consumers have less trust than ever. Many don't see value in agents because the bar for licensing is lower than ever and the commissions are higher than ever. But when you talk to the right agent it becomes clear why you need one and hired them. Experience matters now more than ever. The reason for this post is to clarify and distance from NAR> My first responsibility lies to you and to the Texas Real Estate License Act. I am a fiduciary and I do not report to NAR, nor do they speak for me. I am here to serve my clients exactly as they need to be served according to state law. My trade association is not a regulatory body and they have no lawmaking authority. Consumers are the reason the license exists and protecting your interests is always my first concern. Passing the license test is nowhere near enough to prove competency in real estate. Interview multiple agents and you'll see.
