I’ve taken quite a break from providing officiant services. But I was tagged in a post inquiring about a marriage that would be quite unique. I met this couple and we had a great discussion about the things they wanted for their ceremony. It seemed like fate when they kept saying “eternal” and I had to mention that I was a bit rusty BUT that the name of my marriage page is/was Eternal Unions. They decided during that meeting to ask me to be their officiant. I gladly accepted and wrote down all of their ideas and began working on a ceremony that had all the elements they asked of me. Soon after they asked if I’d be willing to allow a friend of theirs, do a part of the ceremony called Handfasting- I of course quickly agreed as that was new to me and I wouldn’t want to mess it up or do something wrong. So began a collaboration with another soon to be friend! The day of the wedding quickly approached and small bumps happened- (my packages being delayed, I forgot to ask for the day off so I worked up to an hour before the ceremony was to begin, I needed to find replacements for the items that got delayed, the other officiant was experiencing car issues, things got left behind, I was experiencing a horrible cough that was quickly taking my voice with it, the original area was flooded, and lastly the loudspeaker died) so much was happening that was really out of OUR control. As the time quickly approached and then passed us we all patiently waited for things to fall back into place. Well, the timing for these two was nothing less then perfect. We didn’t have music so we relied on cues, I had to try to project what little voice I had, the live stream ended before vows were said, and the traffic was picking up. BUT as you can see- timing was everything, as these two sealed their union to one another they were provided the most beautiful background by Mother Nature. The sun setting as we did the ceremony was beautiful, the vows they shared were amazing, the choices they made in the type of ceremony we created was perfect. And these two happily married one another to a beautiful background, surrounded by loved ones, and had the most beautiful response to one another it was so wonderful to be part of it! I can’t wait to watch as their bonds grow stronger and in the years to come having their vows renewed and celebrating all the many anniversaries they will have together happily, it makes my heart so happy! I wish you both MANY eternity’s of love, happiness, success, and joy! To Mx. and Mrs. Miller, I was honored to pronounce you Hersband and Wife and delighted to be able to sign your official Marriage License for the State of Arizona! These photos only captured part of the beauty we witnessed on March 3rd, 2023!
