11 years ago, I joined Trustmark Bank when they opened their doors here in Florence! 🏦 💙 Here is throwback picture for you to enjoy. As the work anniversary email came over at 5am, it aged me a decade in less than 60seconds.

More than 14 years in the mortgage industry… I blinked, and somehow it’s been over a decade. It’s been a wild ride, but what a rewarding one!

My job can be challenging, and my family and close friends know it doesn’t always fit neatly into a 9-to-5 schedule. But I’ve also sat at closing tables with clients who were overcome with happy tears as they received the keys to their new home. Not many people get to experience that kind of emotion through their career, and I never take it for granted. Helping families achieve homeownership has been one of the greatest blessings of my life.

Looking back, joining Trustmark 11 years ago was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Trustmark is home, and I truly have the best work family around. DeWayne Griffin, Daniel Hand, and I have worked together for 13 years now—just as long as Wes and I have been married! Sonya Pollard has been added to our team and what an amazing addition she is!
We each bring something different to the table, and together we make a great team. I can’t imagine navigating this ever-changing mortgage world with better loan officers by my side. I’m also incredibly thankful for the support staff and teammates across the state who help us serve our clients every day. Our team is top-notch from processing to underwriting to closing - making my job easier.

Along the way, I’ve built lifelong friendships with some of the most amazing Realtors in our area. I’m grateful for those relationships and the opportunity to work alongside so many professionals who care deeply about their clients and communities. So if you have trusted me with your clients - THANK YOU!

One thing I’ve learned over the years: if you’re reading headlines, social media posts, or articles about mortgages, rates, and real estate, don’t be afraid to reach out to someone actually working in the industry.
