As the start of the fall semester is quickly approaching, keep in mind these dates that you are able to use excess financial aid at the UNA bookstore. Be sure to take note of the deadlines to use the online vs. in-store option! 📚 📕 ✏️

The Alabama Commission on Higher Education (ACHE) is now accepting Alabama Law Enforcement Officers’ Family Scholarship applications for qualified candidates. If you are a UNA student, you may reach out to our office for an application. Please note that applications must be submitted directly to ACHE. ACHE will review the application and determine the student’s eligibility. If approved, ACHE will contact our office.

The application deadline is October 2, 2026. More information and an online application can be found at https://sp.ache.edu/law-enforcement-officers-scholarship/.

The One Big Beautiful Bill Act (H.R.1), also known as the Working Families Tax Cuts Act, signed into law on July 4, 2025, enacts changes for Federal Student Aid. These changes will be effective for the 2026-27 academic year.
