Herre's a new law that's been effective in South Carolina. Enforcement of the law begins February 20, 2026.
Drive Safe, and Undistracted!

With the passing of the Hands Free and Distracted Driving Act, South Carolina is a hands-free state, which means it is now illegal to hold or operate a mobile electronic device with your hands or body while driving. Drivers can still use a device in voice-activated or hands-free mode, so take a moment before you drive to enable voice-control features.

Last Sunday night at 9:30 pm, I got a call from a customer that his home was on fire.
He was frantic, scared and very emotional.
I assured him we were going to be there for him and his family. The claim was filed immediately.
Less than 12 hours later he had gotten a follow up call from State Farm, by 11:00 am the same day, I went to his home and I was able to personally give him a check for immediate additional living expenses. He obviously had lots of questions and needed guidance and reassurance. They had lost practically everything. Including a car.
A clean up restoration company was already dispatched and onsite as well.
By 11:00 am the next day a local State Farm adjuster had met him at his home. All of this….within 36 hours of getting the call, we were in contact, on site and beginning to deliver our promise.
I’m proud of who I work for and what they allow me to do to help our customers in their time of need. I’m proud of how quickly we responded and our commitment to serving our customers.

He didn’t have to call a 1-800 #. He called someone he knew. And someone he knew showed up ready to help now and in the coming weeks and months.
