As spring transitions into summer, the weather begins to warm up, the days get longer, and we all have the opportunity to enjoy a little more sunshine.
For our family, it also means a lot of baseball. Our boys, Mack and Ellis, absolutely love the game. As parents, Ann Taylor and I love the opportunities and lessons the game provides for them. The camaraderie each of them builds with their teammates becomes obvious as they work together to achieve their individual and team goals. Pitching, fielding, and hitting all provide a chance to experience success, or the challenge of overcoming things they wish had happened differently, on a pitch-by-pitch or play-by-play timeline.
There are countless life lessons to be learned through this uniquely simple, yet challenging game, lessons that can carry into our daily lives. This spring and summer, our family encourages yours to take a moment to enjoy America's Pastime.
See how players of all ages handle success and failure, and perhaps you'll find something to take away with you as you navigate the challenges and successes in your own life as well. ⚾⚾
