True or false?
You have to be an LLC to be taxed as an SCorp.
TRUE!
The IRS states that an LLC will be treated as a corporation, partnership, or as part of the owner’s tax return (sole proprietorship). So to gain the benefits of being taxed as an SCorp (one type of corporation), you need to be an LLC. [citation in comments]
