We are saddened by the loss of our friend. I knew him mostly in the capacity of my work but we are also part of an exclusive club no one wants to join. Our prayers go out to his sweet wife and family.

Our hearts are heavy this morning as we mourn the passing of former UNA Tennis student-athlete, head coach and Hall of Famer, Brice Bishop.

Coach Bishop’s connection to North Alabama spanned generations. After representing the Lions as a student-athlete, he returned to serve his alma mater as head coach on three different occasions, leaving a lasting impact on UNA Tennis and the countless student-athletes he coached and mentored along the way.

We extend our deepest condolences to Coach Bishop’s family, friends, former players and all whose lives he touched.
