🐐 𝗜𝗠𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗔𝗡𝗧 𝗤𝗨𝗘𝗦𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡: 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗖𝗲𝗱𝗮𝗿 𝗥𝗶𝘀𝗸 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆… 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗴𝗼𝗮𝘁𝘀? 🐐

Last week was our annual Summer Fun Day, and we had games, food, laughs and plenty of fun.

But apparently none of that mattered.

Because there were BABY GOATS. 😂🐐

Our friends at The Bubbly Goats brought 8 ridiculous, adorable little troublemakers to spend some time with the Cedar team, and we are not exaggerating when we say they completely stole the show.

Productivity has suffered ever since, mostly because we're all trying to figure out how to convince management that "Office Goat" is a legitimate position. We have office dogs and fish, why not one more animal?

So we need your help.

👇 If Cedar hired an official Office Goat, what should we name it?

Wrong answers are not only accepted, they are strongly encouraged. 😂

🌲 Forests, Smoke, and Your Health: What You Need to Know 💨

With smoke from active wildfires moving across North America, understanding the vast geography of our forests can help us better prepare for the air quality challenges we face. Let’s look at the numbers and how you can protect your lungs today.

📊 The Acreage Breakdown

🇨🇦 Canada holds roughly 893 million acres of forest land.

🇺🇸 The USA contains about 751 million acres of forest land.

The Difference: Canada has 142 million more acres of forest than the US. Because 40% of Canada is dense boreal forest, large natural lightning fires can generate immense amounts of smoke that travel thousands of miles southward into the US.

🛑 How to Protect Yourself from Wildfire Smoke
When local air quality reaches unhealthy levels, standard dust or cloth masks will not protect your lungs from fine smoke particles. Follow these evidence-based safety steps:

🏠 Keep Smoke Outside: Close all doors and windows. If you run an air conditioner, set it to recirculate and close the fresh-air intake vent so you aren't pulling outdoor smoke inside.

💨 Purify Indoor Air: Use a standalone indoor HEPA air purifier. Avoid activities that lower indoor air quality, such as frying food, burning candles, or vacuuming (which stirs up settled particles).

😷 Wear the Right Mask: If you must go outdoors, a standard surgical or cloth mask is not enough. Wear a well-fitted, NIOSH-approved N95 or respirator mask to adequately filter out toxic particulates.

📱 Check the Numbers: Don't rely on sight alone. Track real-time air quality in your zip code using official resources like the EPA AirNow Map.

Stay safe, breathe clean air, and share this to keep your friends and family prepared!

🌡️ The heat is on! When temperatures climb, it's important to keep every member of your family safe, including the four-legged ones. 🐶🐱

☀️ Heat Wave Safety Tips

💧 For You:
• Stay hydrated, drink plenty of water throughout the day.
• Limit outdoor activities during the hottest hours (10 AM–4 PM).
• Wear lightweight, light-colored clothing and don't forget the sunscreen.
• Take frequent breaks in the shade or air conditioning.
• Know the signs of heat exhaustion: dizziness, nausea, headache, and excessive sweating.

🐾 For Your Pets:
• Keep fresh, cool water available at all times.
• Walk early in the morning or later in the evening. • Test the pavement with your hand—if it's too hot for you, it's too hot for their paws.
• Make sure they always have access to shade and a cool place to rest.
• Never leave pets in a parked car—even for a minute. Temperatures can become deadly in just a few minutes.

A little preparation goes a long way. Stay cool, stay safe, and take care of the people and pets who count on you. ❤️
