Are you waiting for rates to drop before buying a home?

Well, this is the cost of waiting. In the last 83 years there have only been 6 years that real estate didn't appreciate. So, what do we learn here?
- Real Estate is a good long term investment
- If you wait to buy until the perfect rate (or whatever), you will likely just pay more for the house, potentially negating the benefit of the lower rate.

My opinion: Buy as soon as you can, refinance to a lower rate when or if they go down....

If you bought a home in Florida in 2024, please DONT FORGET to file your HOMESTEAD exception with the county. DEADLINE is March 1st. If you don't you will miss the homestead discount and your taxes will increase more than they should.
