Twas the night before graduation for Fleetwood Area School District! Be sure to take a moment to reflect on the accomplishments of Fleetwood Area High School’s Class of 2026 as you drive by our flagship branch on Main Street in Fleetwood in the coming days.

🎓 While this video clip is only two minutes and 18 seconds long, it reflects twelve years’ worth of growth, memories, triumphs, tribulations and all that comes with growing up and navigating life. May we also fondly remember Connor Koontz with joy, as we keep his family, friends, and classmates in our thoughts.

: Last week, team members Curin Romich and Jessica Galeassi provided an insightful, free presentation on fighting fraud and strategies for scam prevention to around 20 people at the Berks Encore- Fleetwood Center.

🚨 Engaging conversation took place and attendees asked great questions so they could become better educated on the common types of fraud being seen in our area, while also learning how to prevent themselves and loved ones from becoming a victim to fraud and learning about what steps they should take in the event that they do fall victim to fraud.

👏🏽Thank you to Berks Encore for their continued partnership on this important workshop, and to Jess and Curin for providing real-world examples and wisdom to help keep our neighbors and community members safe!

It’s National Senior Fraud Awareness Day, a day created to highlight the growing number of scams targeting older adults.

🔎 that adults ages 60+ reported more than $7.7 billion in fraud losses to the FBI in 2025 alone? The average victim loses nearly $34,000 per complaint.

❗We’re teaming up with Berks Encore for a free fraud awareness seminar (Fighting Fraud: Strategies For Scam Prevention - A Free Seminar) on Wednesday, May 27 at 11:30 AM. Stop by Berk’s Encore’s Fleetwood Center for light refreshments and a lot of knowledge, including common scams, steps to take if you fall victim to fraud, and real examples of fraud happening right here in your neighborhood.

: Enjoy this recap of our day last Thursday when we celebrated National Take Your Kid To Work Day!

🏦 Our team’s kiddos enjoyed getting a tour of the bank, seeing a behind-the-scenes look at everything from the ATM to the inside of the vault. They also got to hear from different employees to learn about the various departments throughout the bank, from deposit and branch administration to lending and BSA / Fraud. We also learned about the importance of community banking and made thank you cards to g

💰 We also learned important financial skills through various activities, including a budgeting worksheet where the kids got to decide what store they wanted to “shop” at to see who could stick within their $100 budget.

💻 Another hands-on activity included teaching the kids about marketing, and they even got to create their own post to educate people on the importance of teaching your child to save. (Check out the video we posted last Thursday to see their work in action!)

🧑🏽‍🎓It was a great day of helping to shape the future leaders of our communities. Who knows — Maybe we have another generation of community bankers in the making?!

Fleetwood Bank slides into action when it comes to community!

Last Thursday, Berks County Intermediate Unit celebrated the dedication of a new playground at its Learning Center at Melrose Plaza. The new outdoor space was made possible through a sponsorship from Fleetwood Bank.

The playground was made specifically for children three to five years of age with disabilities and will benefit current and future students enrolled in the BCIU's Early Intervention program, which provides special education services to over 2,800 preschool-age children across Berks County, including those at Melrose Plaza.

"Fleetwood Bank is pleased to be able to partner with Dr. Jill Hackman and the Berks County Intermediate Unit for this important facility," shared Timothy Snyder, President and CEO of Fleetwood Bank. "While our sponsorship is for the new playground, it is what happens inside this building that has a lasting impact on these children and the community."
