We're excited to have Colby Cardin on the Colony Bank team as our Private Banker in Columbus.

With more than 24 years of experience in the financial services industry, Colby is a third-generation banker and lifelong Columbus resident who has built his career serving the community he calls home.

His background includes commercial banking, business banking, credit and underwriting, as well as executive coaching and talent development. He is also an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) through the International Coaching Federation, serves on the board of Valley Healthcare System Inc., and is a faculty member for the Georgia Bankers Association Banking School.

On Monday, Colony Bank’s CEO, Heath Fountain, joined banking leaders from across the country on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange during the Closing Bell ceremony, held in conjunction with the KBW Summer Bank Conference in New York City.

Heath was joined by Rick Saunders, Founder and CEO of First Reliance Bank, following last month's announcement that First Reliance Bank is expected to join Colony Bank through a strategic partnership.

For Colony Bank, the appearance marked the second time in just over a year that the bank has been represented during a New York Stock Exchange Closing Bell ceremony. Last July, we celebrated our 50th anniversary and listing on the NYSE. This week, we were honored to once again represent our company, our communities and the strength of community banking alongside industry leaders from across the country.

Such a proud moment for our team! We're grateful to our customers, communities and shareholders who continue to believe in the value of community banking.

As our interns' time with us comes to a close, we wanted to highlight a community service project they participated in!

Our interns were given the chance to volunteer with Extra Special People's day camp in Savannah, Georgia. ESP is an organization dedicated to giving people of all abilities the opportunity to grow, connect, and have fun through community support.

This was an enriching experience as our interns spent quality time with campers and assisted staff wherever needed.

We want to thank ESP for their warm welcome, as well as our interns for their desire to give back across our footprint!
