As the Board President of Warmer Winters, Inc., I am thrilled to report that over 30 supporters and board members (and their guests) have generously registered to attend our We Paint Social Fundraiser at Uno of Leominster, on February 2nd!

Our most recent ticket purchasers are two of our Junior Board Members, Ana Rattanavong and Rebekah Chen, and their guests - Michelle Lopez and Charlotte Rodriguez, will be attending the event. Yay!!

Still 5 or so spots available...Please join Rebekah, Ana, Charlotte, Michelle and the many other Warmer Winters Board Members and Supporters who are helping our organization to purchase more yarn to make additional warm winter items to support Neighbors in Need through their generosity!!

Did you know that two recent national studies – by the National Center for Charitable Statistics and the National Conference on Citizenship, both found that small business growth and increased employment success are strongly linked to higher percentages of civic participation and volunteerism among entrepreneurs, employees and job-seekers?

In fact, eight of the eleven states with the highest volunteering rates at the outset of the financial crisis experienced among the smallest rises in unemployment, while seven of the ten states with the lowest volunteering rates experienced among the highest increases in unemployment.
