Finances and football are not that different...
Both have wins and loses. Both have game plans. Both require investment, time, work, patience, and Faith. Both have swings in momentum. Both have forces for you and against you. Classic victories and painful loses are part of the process. Both have critics, doubters, and sometimes a hostile audience. Endless possibilities await along with certainty of uncertainty. And a lifetime guarantee of personal growth over time, and in due time, through both success and setbacks....
From my almost 30 years of working in finance and coaching, I've come down to a handful of things I believe...
You need a coach, you need a team, you need trust, you need people in your life that are authentic and tell you the truth, especially when its hard. You need people you can count on and you need to be accountable too. Believe in people and Faith in yourself. Lead with your heart, love is isn't easy or free, walk the talk, get out in front of problems, voices in head are not your friend, but those that love you are. Real friends are priceless...
