🏒 IS YOUR BUSINESS REALLY ESTABLISHED?

If you're looking to finance commercial equipment, there's something important you need to know about your business.

For many commercial lenders, your business needs to be properly registered with your state's Secretary of State to be considered an established business entity.

And here's where the timeline matters:

0 to 2 years: Generally considered a newer business
2+ years: More established business history

Why does that matter?

Newer businesses typically have fewer financing options because they haven't had as much time to establish a business track record.

That doesn't mean a newer business can't get financed. It simply means there may be fewer lenders and programs available.

If you're thinking about starting a business or you're already in your first couple of years, don't wait until you need financing to find this out.

Understanding your business history and how lenders view it can help you prepare for future financing opportunities. πŸ’™

🚨 **LET'S CLEAR SOMETHING UP ABOUT CREDIT & FINANCING**

Think an **800 credit score** automatically means you'll get the best financing options?

Not necessarily. πŸ‘€

Your credit score is important, but it's **NOT the only thing lenders look at.**

They can also look at:

πŸ“‹ Your overall credit profile
🏒 Your time in business
πŸ’° Your bank statements & cash flow
πŸ’³ Your existing debt
πŸ’΅ Your down payment
πŸš› The equipment you're purchasing

And that last one matters more than some people realize.

The lender isn't just looking at **YOU**.

They're looking at the **ENTIRE DEAL.**

So whether you have a 580 credit score or an 800 credit score, don't assume you already know what your financing options will look like.

**Your credit score is a piece of the puzzle, not the whole puzzle.** πŸ§©πŸ’™

That's why understanding your entire profile before applying can make such a difference.

πŸ’™ Nervous About Starting the Financing Process?

I completely understand.

Maybe you're worried about your credit.
Maybe you're not sure what documents you'll need.
Maybe you're not sure if you're financially ready.
Or maybe you simply don't know where to start.

That's exactly why I'm here.

You don't have to be ready to submit an application to a lender today.

You can start by filling out my application, and I can get a better understanding of your situation. From there, we can talk about your options and what you may need to work on or prepare before we submit you to any lender.

I'm not here to rush you into an application just to get a "yes" or "no."

I want you to understand your options and be as prepared as possible when the time is right.

And here's something else I always recommend:

🏦 Talk to your trusted bank or credit union first.

If you already have a relationship with a bank, find out what they can offer you. You should know all of your options before making a financing decision.

I'm not here to compete with your bank.

I'm here to be in your corner. πŸ’™

If you're thinking about buying a semi, commercial truck, trailer, farm equipment, or other commercial equipment sometime in the future, you can reach out even if you're not ready to finance today.

Let's have the conversation first.

πŸ“© Your Finance Lady is here when you're ready. πŸš›πŸ’™

πŸ“„ THE DETAILS MATTER!

When you're going through the commercial financing process, every document matters, and it needs to be completed exactly how the lender requires it.

One of the biggest things that can cause delays is the insurance certificate. πŸ›‘οΈ

Sometimes the insurance certificate comes back with information that is missing, incorrect, or simply isn't worded the way the lender requires.

And yes, something as simple as that can hold up your funding. 😬

Here's my advice:

πŸ“Œ Don't just tell your insurance agent that you need a certificate of insurance.

Give them the exact instructions from the lender and make sure they follow them exactly.

If the lender says specific wording, information, loss payee, additional insured, address, or other details need to appear on the certificate, make sure your insurance agent has those exact requirements.

This is one of those little details that can become a BIG delay if it isn't handled correctly.

The goal is to get you funded as smoothly and quickly as possible, and having your documents prepared correctly from the beginning can make a huge difference.

πŸš› Pay attention to the details. It can save you time, frustration, and unnecessary delays.

⏳ Financing Takes Time! Be Prepared From the Start!

One of the biggest things I want my clients to understand is that commercial financing is not always an overnight process.

Sometimes everything can come together within a week. Other times, it can take a few weeks depending on the situation, the lender, the equipment, and how quickly everyone is able to provide what’s needed.

That’s why being prepared from the beginning can make a BIG difference. πŸš›

πŸ“‹ Have your paperwork ready.
πŸ“„ Get requested documents back as quickly as you can.
πŸ“ž Stay responsive when someone needs additional information.
🏒 Understand that the dealership may also need time to provide documents or information the lender requires.

There are multiple people involved in getting a commercial financing deal across the finish line, the client, dealership, lenders, and sometimes additional parties.

So if you’re thinking about purchasing a semi, dump truck, trailer, farm equipment, or other commercial equipment, give yourself some time.

This isn't always as simple as filling out an application and getting an answer in an hour.

The faster everyone gets the information that's needed, the faster we can keep things moving. πŸ’™

Come prepared. Be patient. Stay responsive.

And let’s get the process moving in the right direction.

πŸ’Ό Your Business Is More Than a Credit Score.

When you're running a business, there's a lot more to your financial story than one number.

You have customers.
You have contracts.
You have equipment.
You have expenses.
You have money moving through your business every month.

And behind all of that is you.... the person who took the risk to build something of your own.

That's something worth being proud of. πŸ‘

Whether you're an owner-operator hauling freight, a contractor building your business, a farmer expanding your operation, or someone working toward becoming one...

Your business deserves to be looked at as a whole.

That's one of the reasons I love what I do.

I get to work behind the scenes helping business owners navigate the financing side of their next move.

πŸš› Keep building.
πŸ’Ό Keep growing.
πŸ“ˆ Keep working toward what's next.

And when you're ready to explore financing for your business, Your Finance Lady is here. πŸ’™

Happy Friday everyone!

πŸš› Buying Commercial Equipment? Don't Let the Excitement Make the Decision for You.

I know how easy it is to see the perfect truck or piece of equipment and think:

β€œThat's the one. I need it.” πŸ˜‚

But before you sign anything, take a step back.

Look at the payment.
Look at the age and condition of the equipment.
Think about how much work it needs to generate to cover that payment.
And most importantly, make sure the purchase actually makes sense for your business.

The goal isn't just to get approved.

The goal is to put equipment in your business that can help you make money and grow.

A piece of equipment should be a business decision β€” not an impulse purchase.

Do your homework. Know your numbers. And don't be afraid to ask questions before you commit.

What Happens After You’re Approved

Once you’re approved, the lender will send a list of funding documents they need. These have to be completed accurately and returned before anything can move forward.

You’ll also need to get insurance in place. Lenders can’t fund without proof of coverage.

As soon as all required documents are submitted and insurance is active, the lender will release the funds.

After that, you’re all set! The dealership takes over and handles the rest from there.

If you ever have questions during the process, I’m here to guide you through each step.
