Avoid a scam!
The Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services identified a scam involving beneficiary genetic tests. Some labs, at events like local health fairs are offering a cheek swab for genetic testing as part of a "free" health screening. This could be used to obtain Medicare information for identity theft or fraudulent billing. Only submit to testing ordered by your doctor. Please let your older friends and family know about this current scam. Stay safe.
