The voting is finally in and it was awfully close, but February’s “Employee of the Month” goes to Cindy Guirell. When Doug learned of the end of his reign, he promptly climbed beneath his owner’s bed and entered a state of melancholy.

Sadly, I’ve resigned after 17 years as the Official Voice of the Tacoma City Marathon Association. I’ve met some amazing people over the years and I look forward to actually RUNNING in their events now. I will miss these folks and everything about it—except getting up at 4am. I won’t miss that.

There’s a lot of grumbling around the office this morning, but the votes are in. December’s “Employee of the Month” was quite a shock to Anna and Cindy.
