The voting is finally in and it was awfully close, but February’s “Employee of the Month” goes to Cindy Guirell. When Doug learned of the end of his reign, he promptly climbed beneath his owner’s bed and entered a state of melancholy.

Sadly, I’ve resigned after 17 years as the Official Voice of the Tacoma City Marathon Association. I’ve met some amazing people over the years and I look forward to actually RUNNING in their events now. I will miss these folks and everything about it—except getting up at 4am. I won’t miss that.

Jessica works at a law firm in my building. Today she popped in to tell me that her grandma was in a bowling league in the late 60s that was sponsored by a State Farm agency and she kept the shirt. You know—for Halloween. 😂🤣😆

My wife, Gina, organized a parade for her elementary school where the kids charted their academic growth on a sign and proudly walked around the track while parents, grand-parents, and the Bonney Lake neighborhood lined the inner field and cheered. Olivia came home and helped me bring 150 decibels of non-explicit lyric, kid-pop essentials via Spotify.
