Edward Jones - Financial Advisor: Derek Evans

Edward Jones - Financial Advisor: Derek Evans Throughout my life, helping others has been an integral part of who I am. A little about me. I grew up in a small town, shaped by small-town values.

I chose a career in financial services because I believe I can make a meaningful difference in the lives of families, individuals, and business owners in my community. Financial planning is not just about numbers—it's about understanding unique goals and building tailored strategies to achieve them. At Edward Jones, we provide personalized investments, services, and tools to help our clients work

toward their financial future. Backed by a team of thousands of professionals and advanced technology, we are dedicated to helping clients navigate their financial journey, from planning for retirement to creating strategies for business growth or college savings. I earned my MBA with a concentration in Finance from Arizona State University and hold a bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education from Eastern Michigan University. My career spans industries like pharmaceuticals, education, and construction, giving me a unique perspective on the diverse needs of my clients. With my father as my role model, I witnessed him serving our community for over 25 years, and the lesson was simple: identify a need and meet that need. That lesson has carried over into my life, shaping my commitment to serving others and guiding my approach to helping clients achieve their goals. Today, I live in Brighton, MI, with my wife, Heather, and our son, Wesley. Heather and I met during our service together in the Marine Corps, and she now works as a middle school science teacher. Like many families, life is busy and moves quickly, but we prioritize spending quality time together. Whether we’re outdoors, learning guitar or piano, or relaxing with a good book, we value being present with one another. I would be honored to help you achieve your financial goals. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact me by phone, email, or message me directly.

-Derek

After months of expected interest rate cuts, the Federal Reserve is shifting its focus back to managing inflation. This "higher-for-longer" interest rate environment may present compelling opportunities in short-term fixed income, while equities can continue to be supported by strong and broadening earnings growth. Brian Therien, Investment Strategist, explains what this could mean for investors in our Weekly Market Wrap.

As investors look beyond Middle East tensions, U.S. economic fundamentals are coming into sharper focus, driven by an accelerating AI investment and robust corporate profit growth, reinforcing the constructive case for equities. However, elevated inflation may keep rate cuts off the table and limit near-term progress in bond markets.

Senior Economist James McCann explains what this could mean for investors in our Weekly Market Wrap.
