5 Key Ways Businesses Can Save With NO upfront fees Our company added a Specialized Tax Division last year to help clients capture R&D and other tax credits.

With the explosive enhancements to this and other small business tax benefits within recent legislation, and the time restrictions related to same, we wanted to make sure all of our clients and associates know about all of programs Congress has made available. There are over $2.3 Trillion in federal benefits available to small businesses, and this funding gets renewed and expanded annually. Many

programs have been in place for decades and are permanent, while others need to be capitalized on prior to deadlines. I’m hosting a live event with my colleagues, you should hop on. Access the $2.3T Advantage — See How You Qualify

For some companies, energy cost increases can be substantial. Ohio brick manufacturer Belden Brick Company’s electricity costs jumped 90% last year, ballooning from a $1,600 monthly capacity charge to $12,000, Reuters reported. So, why are so many businesses against cash flow increases?

You've tried the systems. The planners. The time-blocking. The Pomodoro. The apps that track how many minutes you spend on email (depressing). The to-do lists that start with 12 items and end the day with 14 because you added more than you crossed off.

The property and casualty (P&C) insurance industry continues to face rising losses from severe weather, wildfires, social inflation and expensive litigation. Higher repair and replacement costs add pressure, while moderating premium and reinsurance rates could constrain margins. Regulatory oversight and affordability challenges in catastrophe-prone states are additional concerns.

Still, the industry has gained 8.8% in the last three months, outperforming the Finance sector’s increase of 5.8% and the Zacks S&P 500 composite’s rise of 0.2%.

The American Property Casualty Insurance Association (APCIA), the primary national trade association for home, auto and business insurers, reported an estimated net underwriting gain of $31.7 billion for the U.S. property/casualty (P&C) insurance industry in the first half of 2026, up from the $11.6 billion underwriting gain recorded through midyear 2025, when industry results were significantly affected by catastrophe losses from the Los Angeles wildfires.

Before, P&C organizations could adapt to regulatory changes one issue at a time, but today's environment is much different. Federal health policy is shifting, and the states are rewriting claims rules. AI governance, provider reimbursement and medical cost transparency are all moving at once.

The broader trend is regulatory modernization. Legislators, regulators and courts are rethinking how health care is delivered, documented, reimbursed, measured for quality, and governed. Those decisions are influencing claim severity, operational complexity, quality and compliance expectations across P&C insurance.

One of the biggest pressures remains health care affordability. As Affordable Care Act subsidy changes reduce enrollment and increase the number of uninsured individuals, providers face greater uncompensated care. Those pressures rarely stay confined to health insurance. Instead, they frequently contribute to cost shifting into workers' comp and auto claims.

Many P&C agents and agencies are looking for unique ways to differentiate themselves while earning bigger commissions, retaining clients and expanding their book of business. That's why recruiting submissions are being taken for the P&C space by the president of GMG/Styde.
