Ukraine’s Ambassador to the United States, Olga Stefanishyna, met with our President & CEO, Anatoli Murha, for an important conversation. They discussed the value of ongoing connection with the Ukrainian American community and the powerful role it continues to play in supporting Ukraine and raising awareness across the U.S.

Olga Stefanishyna, Ukraine’s Ambassador to the United States, met with Anatoli Murha, President and CEO of Self Reliance Financial Federal Credit Union.

They discussed the importance of ongoing dialogue and cooperation with the Ukrainian American community. The Ambassador emphasized the pivotal role the community has played in supporting the Ukrainian state since the restoration of Ukraine’s independence, as well as in deepening understanding of Ukraine across the United States.

Olga Stefanishyna and Anatoli Murha agreed to maintain regular contact and continue exploring opportunities for joint initiatives.

In October 2025, Ukrainian Selfreliance Federal Credit Union and Self Reliance New York Federal Credit Union merged to form Self Reliance Financial Federal Credit Union. Today, it is one of the largest credit unions serving the Ukrainian American community, with over 31,000 members and branches across several states, continuing a long-standing tradition of supporting the community and preserving Ukrainian heritage in the United States.
