Just a friendly reminder to take all safety measurements while preparing your turkey this Thanksgiving!
According to the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), turkey fryers cause an average of 5 deaths, 60 injuries, and over $15 million in property damage each year.
Thanksgiving Day has the highest number of cooking fires of any day in the year. In 2023, an estimated 1,446 home cooking fires were reported on Thanksgiving, which is a 388% increase over the daily average.
Fire departments respond to more than 1,000 fires involving deep fryers each year.
