Just a friendly reminder that in NC dumping your pets is a class 2 misdemeanor, punishable by up to 60 days in jail and a $1,000 fine. (NCGS § 14-361.1)

Contact rescues if the humane society is full. You signed up for taking care of that animal for the rest of their/your life. Be a grown adult and stick with them until you can find another place for them and don’t get another pet until you can 100000% commit to them. It doesn’t matter if you’ve got a new baby, your spouse is deploying, your work schedule changed, there is ZERO excuse to dump an animal.

1. I assume my rates are great!
2. I feel like it would take too much time.

👀⚠️ Just Because Main Roads Look Clear ❄️

🛣️ Main roads that looked clear from being plowed or dry does not mean all roads are safe or similar.

🟡 Secondary roads can still be patchy, slick, or refrozen with black ice. :/

🔴 Side roads and neighborhoods remain dangerous, with unplowed sections and compacted ice.

☀️🌡️ As temperatures climb above 40 degrees, there is hope that many of these icy and patchy roads will begin to melt and improve. We’ll see how Wednesday and Thursday pans out:
