⚠️ A Quick PSA Before You Chase That “Lower” Insurance Quote ⚠️
Lately, we’ve reviewed several quotes from other agents that seemed too good to be true - and honestly, they were. If you're tempted by a lower premium, here are a few red flags we’re seeing over and over:
1️⃣ 6-Month Policies Disguised as 12-Month Equivalents
Some quotes look cheaper simply because they’re only for six months, not a full year. And in a recent case, the quote didn’t mention the policy term anywhere. Half the term isn’t a better deal.
2️⃣ Coverage Quietly Cut to Reduce the Premium
Lower deductibles, missing endorsements, and reduced liability limits can make a quote look attractive… until you have a claim and discover what’s missing. A cheaper price doesn’t help much if your protection is compromised.
3️⃣ Rates Shared Before Any Reports Are Pulled
If driving history, claims reports, or insurance scoring haven’t been run, that “great price” is only temporary. Once the reports are in, the premium often jumps - sometimes significantly.
