Newton Robertson, Elizabeth Ellis, and Thurston Callahan opened the agency to provide quality insurance coverage and a high level of professional service to business owners. Their combined experience and resources proved to be a good blend. A few years later, the agency began to offer insurance to individuals for their personal properties and vehicles. Robertson and Ms. Ellis retired, Thurston Callahan operated the business with a continued focus on quality and service. In 1997, Mark W. Rice assumed management responsibilities for the agency. Since that time, we’ve added a Financial Services Division to include employee benefits and we moved to our current location in historic downtown Fayetteville. With eleven employees and several strategic alliances, we’ve experienced significant growth while continuing our commitment to quality and service to the Fayetteville/Cumberland County area. Our Callahan & Rice team of agents is proud of our 50+ year history. We are now serving three generations of clients. While representing multiple carriers, our team works to suit the needs of our diverse client base including local and regional businesses, as well as personal risks. We are equipped to provide our clients with solutions to meet most insurance needs, regardless of the simplicity or complexity of that need.
