Fayetteville Police continue to investigate the Monday afternoon shooting incident that took place at the Discount To***co gas station located on Hwy. 85 North (North Glynn Street) at Kathi Avenue in Downtown Fayetteville.

According to reports, occupants of two vehicles at the gas station interacted with each other, which led to a suspect opening fire at occupants in the other vehicle. The victim’s vehicle fled the scene northbound and a short distance later collided with a vehicle on Creekwood Trail.

The victim, who sustained a gunshot wound, was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

The suspects’ vehicle, which was reported to be a black convertible BMW, possibly a 6 Series, with black rims, was seen driving away from the scene traveling northbound on Hwy. 85.

Police are asking anyone with information, and especially any video footage of the incident or the vehicles involved in the incident, to contact Detective Tyler Simpson at 770-719-4227 or [email protected].
