Recently Lost Group Insurance?
If you recently lost group insurance or lost employer coverage within the past 60 days, you may be eligible for an ACA Special Enrollment Period.

The Affordable Care Act (ACA) allows individuals who have experienced a Qualifying Life Event to obtain health insurance coverage between Annual Enrollment Periods (AEPs). Lost group insurance, or a loss of employer coverage, is considered a Qualifying Life Event, which opens up an ACA Special Enrollment Period for you and your family.

You may have lost group insurance for any of a number of reasons, such as:
If you moved into a part-time position and no longer qualify for health insurance benefits.
If you left a company that offered employer coverage to take a position with one that does not.
If the company for which you work has simply decided to eliminate health insurance as a benefit.
If you or your spouse were terminated and lost employer coverage for your family.

If you live in North Carolina and lost group insurance for any reason, be sure to visit with one of the qualified agents at the Fayetteville Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina® Store. They have worked with many people just like you, who have lost employer coverage, and they are familiar with the process of applying for a Special Enrollment Period and acquiring federal subsidies through the Marketplace.

Unlike COBRA coverage, individual health insurance can be as affordable as group insurance, if you qualify for a federal subsidy. But act quickly! The ACA Special Enrollment Period is only open to you for 60 days from the date you lose your coverage.

The knowledgeable agents at the Fayetteville Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina® Store will never charge you for their services, and the benefit to your family may prove to be priceless
