I just want to take a minute to explain the bail bonds services. Alot of people seem to not understand the pricing of a typical bail bond. So take a minute and read this and it might save you some time calling multiple bondsman‘s and asking for quotes.
when you have a bond in the state of Missouri, it will be posted as cash or surety, cash only bonds mean you can only post the bond and get out of custody with all the cash in hand. For example, Joe P. Got arrested for fraud and got a warrant for his arrest for $5000 cash only bond. That would mean Joe P could only get out of jail if he posted $5000 in cash to the jail.
A surety bond means a bondsman can go to the jail and write a power of attorney and collect a 10% fee from the individual. For example, Joe P. Was arrested for fraud and his bond states $10,000 cash or surety. That would mean whoever is paying for the bond would have to pay the bondsman $1000. That is a nonrefundable fee and that quote is based off a 10% premium. I would say 98% of bondsman‘s in the state of Missouri will not write a bond for less than 10%. Some companies will do payment plans but I cannot speak to each individual company everybody does their business different.
So to save you some time this is a quick easy breakdown of price quotes for a bail bond in the state of Missouri especially for the 24th circuit court system including St. Francis County, Madison County, Washington County, and Sainte Genevieve County. Thank you for reading and I hope this was helpful.
P.S. in regards to my last post about people posing as bondsman‘s. Anytime you speak to a bondsman ask what their name is and if you don’t know who they are look them up on the Department of commerce and insurance website it will list all active bondsman‘s in the state of Missouri.
Thank you,
Jon Vest
