In honor of Labor Day, I wanted to highlight these young entrepreneurs and philanthropists. Sadie and Libby, along with their cousins, recently held their annual lemonade stand. They started planning five months ahead by painting shells, making jewelry, and formulating ideas to make it bigger and better. They raised over $130 and plan to donate all of it to charity.

The annual Mackinac Bridge Walk has been a Labor Day tradition since 1958, and is the only time pedestrians can cross the five-mile span.

In 2022, while visiting Northern Michigan, our family got to experience the Mackinac Bridge two ways...driving across it and taking a ferry boat ride under it!

Proud dad moment: Sadie (11) won "Award of Distinction" for her sculpture at the annual Orchard Lake Fine Art Show's youth artist competition! Her piece, titled "Fish Out of Water", was described by the judges as having exquisite detail and a great use of color, and they loved that she included the glass eye. Congratulations Sadie!
