For all of you canola producers: keep in mind that the last day to plant canola with full insurability is 10/10/26. After that there is a 5 day late planting period ending on 10/15/26.

The canola base price is officially set at $0.2670/lb, if you have canola on your mind for this fall. That translates to $13.35/bu.
Keep in mind that canola insurance is only available by written agreement for any Eastern Oklahoma counties. The crop insurance deadline is August 31, 2026, for the 2027 crop.

Still have 2025 seed wheat in your bins? Be sure to let us know BEFORE you put new crop on top of last years holdover!

Also, weight tickets (with your empty weight) for any seed wheat binned are great for your adjuster and agent to use for production records and will streamline your claim settlement process.
