We wanted to take a moment today as an educational opportunity not only about what PCM does for environmental management but swine nutrient management as a whole.

Defined management plans and abiding by regulatory standards means that hog manure can actually have positive impacts on soil health, as the microbes and micronutrients can help rebalance soil from use of commercial fertilizer. Due to hog manure's organic nature, it also reduces nutrient runoff. PCM is committed to frequent testing and thoroughly licensed applications that help create guidelines to exceed your goals and still remain compliant.

On a day dedicated to the environment, it's important to remember the many different inputs that go into creating healthy soil, healthy animals, healthy food, healthy people, and ultimately, a healthy planet.
