That’s a wrap on our Member Appreciation Month Food Truck Fridays! 🚚💙

We closed out the month with one final afternoon of food and fun at our North Hill branch! Thank you to all of our Members and staff who stopped by to celebrate with us and helped make our final Food Truck Friday a great one.

A special thank you to Patricia Ann Cargill Charities for joining us once again and bringing along their Heart Helpers RV, activities, giveaways, and plenty of fun for everyone to enjoy. We’re so grateful to have had PACC join us throughout our Food Truck Fridays this month! 💙

And of course, thank you to The Travelin’ Wiener and Completely Cookied for coming back to help us close out the month with hot dogs and sweet treats! 🌭🍪

Thank you to everyone who joined us at our branches throughout August. Member Appreciation Month is all about celebrating you, our Members, and we loved getting to spend these Fridays with you! 💙🎉

A day filled with community, connection, and service! ☀️💙

Towpath Credit Union was proud to join South Street Ministries Community Day at Morgan Park, where we connected with community members, provided hygiene kits, and served alongside an amazing group of volunteers and staff.

A huge thank you to South Street Ministries for their continued partnership and all they do to support our community. We'd also like to thank Councilman Johnnie Hannah for helping make this event such a success and for creating a welcoming opportunity for residents in his ward to come together.

We love being part of events that strengthen our community and connect neighbors with valuable resources!

We were proud to sponsor and support the mission of Keep Akron Beautiful at this year's Green the Scene auction and celebration at the Akron Art Museum.

It was inspiring to join Akronites from across Summit County as they came together to raise more than $30,000 to support the renovation of historic Alexander Park in Akron's West Hill neighborhood. Thank you to Keep Akron Beautiful for your commitment to creating vibrant, welcoming spaces that strengthen our community. 💚

During our Food Truck Friday at our Fairlawn branch, our team joined in on the “I’m passing the mic to…” trend for Member Appreciation Month! From helping Members every day to keeping things running behind the scenes, there were plenty of reasons to pass the mic around.

We hope all Akron Public Schools students, staff, and educators had a fantastic first day back!

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of celebrating the start of the school year with hundreds of families at Mason CLC's Back-to-School Bash. It was wonderful to see so much excitement and energy as everyone prepared for another year of learning and growth.

As the school year begins, we're happy to announce that applications for the Towpath Credit Union APS Microgrant are now open. APS educators can apply for funding to support Spring 2027 classroom projects or needed supplies that inspire creativity, engagement, and student success.

We had a great afternoon celebrating with our Members and staff at our Fairlawn branch this past Friday! Thank you to everyone who stopped by, grabbed some food, and spent part of the day with us as we continue celebrating our Members all month long.

A special thank you to Patricia Ann Cargill Charities for joining us again and helping make the day extra fun for the kids! PACC provided toys, snacks, activities, and even a special reading for everyone to enjoy. 📚🧸💙

And a big thank you to Baked N Loaded for serving up some delicious loaded baked potatoes throughout the afternoon! 🥔

Fresh food, local vendors, and community connections all come together at the West Akron Community Market. We're grateful for the opportunity to support a resource that makes such a positive difference for individuals and families throughout the Akron area.

The market will take place every Saturday through October 10th at Emmanuel Christian Academy, offering a welcoming space for neighbors to connect and access fresh, healthy food. Be sure to stop by the Towpath Credit Union booth on September 12th, where we'll be sharing free spices and recipes with market attendees!

Come out, support local, connect with the community, and be sure to stop by the Towpath Credit Union table and say hi! 👋 We’ll be there and would love to see some familiar faces (and meet some new ones, too!). See you at the market!

West Akron has never been short on what matters.

The neighbors who show up for each other, every single time. The families building something of their own. And a community that works together to create the change they want to see.

What we haven't had is one place to bring all of that together, a market of our own, where food is grown close, sold fairly, and all in a place just down the street.
So we're building it.

The West Akron Community Market opens Saturday, August 15 from 10am–2pm at Emmanuel Christian Academy. Fresh produce. Local hands. Real community.

We've always had the community. Now we're building the market to match it. 🌱
