This month, we’re excited to shine the spotlight on Rachelle Mitchell-Shadduck, Vice President Branch Manager of our Ottumwa branch. Since joining Iowa State Bank in 2022, Rachelle has become one of the bank’s biggest champions of our Ottumwa team and the community we serve. ✨

Rachelle is dedicated to making sure our Ottumwa customers receive an IDEAL customer experience every day. She genuinely enjoys getting to know our customers, understanding their financial needs, and helping them find solutions that will help them reach their goals. Her enthusiasm for our customers (and for the Ottumwa branch itself) is contagious!

In fact, Rachelle’s commitment to promoting Iowa State Bank goes well beyond the walls of the branch. Recently, she took her trusty Iowa State Bank coozie along on vacation and photographed it in some of the exciting places she visited across the country. We’re not sure if the coozie needed a vacation, but it certainly got to see some sights! 📸 ⛰️

Rachelle also loves getting out into the Ottumwa community and is a regular at the annual Ottumwa GOPIP Golf Outing, where she enjoys hosting the ISB booth and serving her famous refreshing “Gin Bucket” to help keep the golfers cool. It’s just another way she combines her love of people, community involvement, and a good time!

Outside of work, Rachelle enjoys spending time with her husband, Chris, and their beloved dog, Scar. You can often find the three of them relaxing at their permanent campsite all summer long, enjoying some downtime and making memories together. Rachelle and Chris are also proud parents of three grown children, Brooke, Rhen, and Von. 🐕🏕️

We are incredibly grateful to have Rachelle as part of our Iowa State Bank team. Her enthusiasm, commitment to our customers, love for the Ottumwa community, and ability to bring a little fun wherever she goes make her a wonderful leader and a passionate champion for Iowa State Bank. Thank you, Rachelle, for everything you do to make our Ottumwa branch, and our bank, a great place to be!
