Last year, I retired from nearly 22 years of military service. I had built a strong career, was on track to command again, and had developed a deep love for the mission and the people I served with. But like every season, mine came to a close — and truthfully, I had no idea what was next.
I just knew I wanted to slow down, enjoy life, and spend more time with my family. I had peace about leaving, but no clear roadmap for what would follow.
Fast forward to today — and I’m living a life I could have never scripted on my own.
This year, I’ve had the incredible opportunity to grow a thriving financial advisory practice. I get to help families take control of their financial futures and build legacies — and I truly love what I do. Every bit of the hard work I’ve poured in has come back multiplied.
And this week, I’m celebrating a milestone I never imagined possible: being named Fast Start Advisor of the Year for the entire company at First Command.
God has opened the floodgates of favor. From unclear beginnings to this moment of celebration, His hand has been all over it.
I’ve spent the last week in beautiful, albeit hot, Arizona, reflecting on the journey, giving thanks, and looking ahead with renewed purpose.
Huge thanks to my amazing better half, Mai, the kids, and my entire family— the absolute best support team I could ask for. To my DA, Jennifer, thank you for believing in me. My assistant Andrew and office manager Mary Lou, for your tireless support, and a special shoutout to Raul Torres — your mentorship and encouragement from day one have meant the world.
Let’s keep pushing forward and make next year even greater.
All glory to God.
