This June, the Business Benefits Group is proud to support The Barn at Spring Brook Farm, a remarkable nonprofit dedicated to enriching the lives of children with disabilities through animal-assisted and nature-based experiences.

Located on a beautiful 17-acre farm in Pennsylvania, The Barn serves children ages 2–17 with physical, cognitive, and developmental disabilities through individualized programs, summer camps, educational field trips, and family visits. By connecting children with caring staff, friendly farm animals, and engaging outdoor activities, The Barn creates opportunities for growth, learning, confidence, and joy.

One of our team members has a personal connection to this organization, and the stories of the children’s growth, accomplishments, and smiles through these programs are truly inspiring.

“I became a benefits broker because I enjoy helping people and solving problems.”

For Julia, that’s not a tagline, it’s how she actually operates. She advises employers on building benefits strategies that do more than check a box. Whether the priority is attracting talent, controlling costs, improving the employee experience, or navigating complexity, she helps organizations create thoughtful, sustainable programs that evolve with their workforce..

💡 What most people don’t realize about benefits brokerage? The real work isn’t open enrollment. It’s the employee call on a Tuesday afternoon, the carrier dispute that needs untangling, the HR team that needs a thought partner before they make a decision they can’t undo. Julia shows up for all of it.

Her approach is measured and relationship-driven. She’s not the loudest voice in the room, she’s the one who’s already thought three steps ahead. Her advice to clients and colleagues alike: “Never stop learning, stay curious, and keep building authentic connections.”
