For 22 years, Polly dedicated her professional life to Fairfax State Savings Bank. She took great pride in her work and built lasting relationships with customers and colleagues alike. Known for her integrity, reliability, and friendly smile, Polly was more than a trusted banker, she was someone people could always count on. Her commitment and work ethic reflected the same care and dedication she brought to every area of her life.

It is with heavy hearts that Fairfax State Savings Bank shares with you the loss of one of our most beloved employees, Polly Boland. She died in her sleep of a sudden health issue. For nearly 22 years, Polly was a staple at the bank. She answered countless calls, greeted countless customers, communicated with customers, cared for co-workers and was such a steady source of encouragement. She saw the good in people, all people. Her Christian faith was quietly on display with so much that she said and did. She was certainly a person who saw the glass as three-quarters full. Polly also had a smile that could fill the bank lobby! She graduated from Regis High School in Cedar Rapids and was an avid Iowa State Cyclone fan. She had strong faith and strong convictions. She stood on her ground when challenged. Polly loved her family and friends and will be sorely missed by those who had occasion to know her.
