It’s baseball season, and if you’ve ever visited David Nielsen‘s office, you’ll know what a huge baseball fan he is. It’s one of his favorite sports! Recently, he and his team sponsored 214 students from Lincoln and Wilson elementary schools in Exeter, CA, to attend a Rawhide Baseball Game in Visalia. Tickets and meals were provided along with a memorable experience. We’re sure the kids made new memories with our classmates as they cheered on the Visalia Rawhide! The school shared a picture with us, which we are sharing with you too, in hopes that it will put a smile on your face, as it has for us. 🤩

Meet Milo Gordon, a citrus and olive farmer in Lemon Cove, California!🍊🍋

Milo grew up checking tree's with his dad, and remembered planting his first avocado tree when he was only four years old. Milo graduated college from UC Riverside with a degree in Economics and Anthropology, and an MBA from Fresno State. Craig School of Business EMBA Cohort 13. He debated whether he would take a different route and pursue a career in finance or retail management, but soon after he realized it was not what he truly enjoyed and went back to checking fields for his dad to figure out his next step. He found his passion for farming again, and has not looked back since. Milo says he loves farming because, "It's what I've always known, it gives me the freedom I love, and I enjoy being my own boss."

Thank you Milo for sharing your story, and all the hard work you put in everyday to continue to do what you do!

Special celebration this past Saturday! Class 50 commenced and was challenged by CALF Board Chair Mike Young to "go out and change the world." We are incredibly proud to welcome all of you into our amazing Ag Leadership alumni family!
