Part 3 of our HSA series

One of the biggest advantages of an HSA plan is the potential tax savings. Contributions made into your HSA account may be tax deductible, which can help lower your taxable income while setting money aside for future medical expenses.

In this video, we briefly touch on how the tax benefits of HSAs work.

Part 2 of our HSA series 👇

One of the biggest differences with an HSA plan is how you pay for care. Instead of a traditional copay, you receive the insurance company’s negotiated rate and can use your HSA debit card to pay for eligible expenses.

This video breaks down how that process works and why many people like the flexibility of HSA plans.

HSA plans can sound confusing at first, but they’re actually one of the most flexible health insurance options available.

In Part 1 of this series, we’re breaking down:
• What an HSA plan is
• How it works
• Why some people choose a high deductible plan

Stay tuned for the next parts where we’ll cover tax advantages, how the debit card works, and what HSA funds can be used for.

What are the different types of life insurance?
(Final Part)

Universal life is the middle ground.
More flexible than whole life, often more affordable, but not as guaranteed.

Quick recap:
Term = lowest cost
Whole life = most guaranteed
Universal = a mix of both

Life insurance is more affordable than you think, and having coverage matters.

What are the different types of life insurance?
(Part 2)

Not all life insurance is the same.

Term life is the most affordable and covers you for a set time, like 20 years, with a locked-in payment.

Permanent life costs more but lasts your entire life, pays out to your family, and can build value you can borrow from over time.

The right choice depends on your goals and the kind of protection you want.

Stay tuned for Part 3 where we talk about life insurance for kids.

What is life insurance and why get it? (Part 1)

Life insurance isn’t just something extra, it’s about protecting the people who depend on you.

From replacing income to making sure your family can stay in their home, cover bills, and support your kids, it’s really about one thing, security when life changes unexpectedly.

And it’s not just about the primary earner, both parents play a role in the stability of a household.

So the real question becomes, how much protection does your family actually need?

Stay tuned for Part 2 where we break down the different types of life insurance and how they work.

Life insurance helps replace income, cover major expenses, and protect your family financially if something happens to you.

Health insurance helps cover medical costs like doctor visits, hospital stays, and emergencies so one health issue doesn’t turn into a major financial burden.

Individual vs. small group health insurance what’s the real difference?

In Tulare County, individual plans are limited (mainly Blue Shield & Blue Cross), with fewer doctor options and no real tax advantages. On the other hand, small group plans offer broader networks, better tax benefits, and are often just as affordable sometimes even more sustainable long term.

Plus, small group coverage is guaranteed in California (even for very small businesses) and can be a powerful tool to support and retain employees.

Bottom line: if you have the option to go small group, it’s usually the stronger choice right now.

Individual vs. Small Group Health Insurance: What’s the difference? (Part 3)

Today, individual plans cost about the same as small group plans, but the tax difference matters.

Individual insurance is paid after taxes, and deductions aren’t dollar for dollar. Small group plans are employer sponsored, offering better tax advantages.

In California, they’re also guaranteed for small businesses under AB-1672. Small details like this can make a big difference when choosing coverage.
