If you don't have life insurance and you're telling yourself "I'll get it when I can afford it" I hate to be the bearer of bad news but it's very likely that when you feel it would be more affordable it will actually be more expensive.
Your wealth doesn't buy your life insurance, your health does.
The younger you get life insurance the cheaper it will be- for several reasons. Your health tends to decline as you age which makes your premiums go up due to the likeliness of the policy paying out sooner, you have less time to pay on the policy making it automatically cost more per month and the chances of you avoiding the medical exam gets significantly less the older you are.
Most people are pleasantly surprised by the cost of a plan when they're in their twenties or thirties versus what that same plan would cost when they're in their 40s or 50s.
A plan on your children or grandchildren can cost less than a tank of gas per month. That sets them up for life!
