I’ve been selling insurance for a long time. I started in 1992 at MetLife on Long Island in NY.
What I do now is I mostly sell to seniors. Medicare supplement plans, Medicare advantage plans, prescription drug plans, Life Insurance, and products that protect peoples retirement funds from ever suffering any losses at all. Last one is a VERY important and VERY DIGITAL part of my business
When I started in this business, everything was on paper. EVERYTHING.
Now almost nothing is. I literally do almost everything on the computer which I actually like a lot more because now my hand doesn’t hurt as much from writing so much.
Today, the Internet went out in my office because Astound said that the bill had not been paid, but fortunately I was able to prove that it had been every month. Obviously, it is auto-debited.
However, it took several hours to get all of this done, and I had things that I had to enter into the computer like customer applications.
Life is funny: for those several hours that I had no Internet I literally felt like I was Ted Kaczynski (The Unabomber)living in a cabin in Montana writing crazy stuff down on paper. I was EFFING FRUSTRATED!!!
🤣🤣🤣🤣
