For those who are unaware of my family history:
At 8 months old my son was diagnosed with AML leukemia. In 2022, he relapsed and we began treatments, PICU stays, bone marrow transplants, tons of bloodwork, you name it and it was probably done.

Today, my wife and I received this stack of paperwork indicating the cost of every single thing done to him while inpatient.

Halfway through the stack we calculated almost $200,000 worth of medical bills.

We had insurance that took care of this for us, however, some people aren’t that lucky.

Y'all! We made it. It is finally Friday!
I will be a touch harder to get ahold of today and tomorrow as we travel to Nashville, TN with my oldest daughter for her final competition of the season with Legacy Elite Cheer!

Today we are celebrating my youngest's birthday! She is the big 4 years old!
I am so thankful for my whole family's health and the protection that I already have in place for them just in case life decides to throw us a curve ball.

All this rain has me thinking...
We use an umbrella to protect us from the rain. We open it up and huddle everyone under the umbrella so no one gets hit with any unexpected drops.
