📸 Take photos of both vehicles & the scene
🪪 Get the other driver’s license + insurance info
📱 Exchange phone numbers
👀 Get witness info if there are any
🚔 Get the police report number
❌ Don’t admit fault at the scene

Bonus tip: Take a picture of your insurance card and favorite it in your phone right now.

🎡 It’s Fall Festival week, Evansville!

Every year around this time, I get more calls than I can count about cars getting hit while parked near Franklin Street or someone backing into another vehicle trying to squeeze through those narrow roads with cars parked on both sides. 😂

So here’s a little insurance tip before you head down there!

If someone hits your parked car and takes off, collision coverage can generally help pay for the damage, minus your deductible.

If you only carry liability, your own insurance typically won’t cover damage to your vehicle.

And if you’re the one who accidentally backs into somebody, that’s where your property damage liability coverage comes into play!

Enjoy the Fall Festival, eat way too much food, and maybe think twice about that parking spot that looks a little too tight. 😂
