🚨Hurricane Helene Update Day 25🚨

Want to take a minute to give everybody some updates as well as brag on these amazing people right here!!

As of right now there are over 20,000 State Farm claims in Augusta. We now have more claims in Augusta than Hurricane Milton claims in total.

State Farm is estimating a total payout of over $1 BILLION in Augusta’s territory alone! That would rank as a top 5 storm in the company’s 102 year history!!

My team has been through the wringer this past month and they have all stepped up to the plate and done an incredible job assisting everyone with their claims!! It has not been an easy month but I can’t imagine where I’d be without them!!!

We typically deal with 30-50 claims a YEAR but are currently flirting with around 500 all from ONE DAY. Please be patient and understanding as we do our best to help you navigate this difficult time. We are blessed to be in a position to help and look forward to serving this community for many years to come!!

When disaster strikes, does your insurance agent have the ability to bring you a check??
One of my greatest advantages as your agent is the ability to bring you an advance on your claim payment before you ever even see an adjuster. So far, we have written $200,000 worth of claim checks out of our office alone! I am doing my best to get to everyone as quickly as possible!!

If I haven’t gotten to you yet, the catastrophe center is up and running in the Carolina Pottery parking lot on Washington road. They have the ability to write you advance claim checks as well. You can speak to adjusters on site and they will be happy to assist you with any questions you have pertaining to your claim!! Hang in there Augusta! One day at a time!

HURRICANE HELENE UPDATE

The destruction of Hurricane Helene has been devastating for so many in our community. This is just a few of the many homes I’ve been to in the past couple days. I’m heartbroken for the families having to go through this, but I’m thankful to be in a position to make it as easy as possible on them.

Despite the devastating damage, I’ve heard so many stories of Heavenly miracles. Children getting out of bed just before a tree crashed through it, trees hitting every room except the 4 year old’s, and trees crashing through every room except the bathroom the family was huddled in. God is great and He had his shield over so many wonderful families and I believe those who didn’t make it through the night, were called for a purpose to be with Him in Heaven. Stay strong and keep your faith, for this too shall pass.

We are doing everything we can to get to our customers as quickly as possible. If you haven’t heard from us yet, I promise we will get to you ASAP!

1. Downed trees with no damage to structure, reach out to a tree service and get on their list to have the trees removed. Downed trees are ONLY covered by insurance if they have damaged your structure. (House, sheds, fences, driveways, etc.)

2. Downed trees on homes that caused structural damage but your home is still livable. Call 855-259-8568 or text “CLAIM” to 62789. Call a roofer and a tree company to get on their list and send us invoices and estimates.

3. Your home is UNLIVABLE: please reach out to us on social media if you need assistance with temporary living accommodations. If you can pay for a hotel, please keep all receipts and invoices. If not, please reach out to us here and we will do our best to get to you as quickly as possible. File your claim by calling 855-259-8568 or texting “CLAIM” to 62789.

Downed trees and power lines have made it extremely difficult to navigate around town. We have little access to email and our office voicemails due to power outage. Our team is working tirelessly to get to everyone, so please hang in there and stay safe! I appreciate all of you and I’m confident our community will rally together to build back better than ever!!

Please contact our office FIRST before calling the 1-800 #. One of my biggest advantages as your agent is being able to handle certain claims without waiting on an adjuster. I can even write you a check on the spot if necessary. Text/Call us at 706-993-4231 or email us at [email protected].

It really is best to NOT report a claim to our 800 # unless you have significant damage (uninhabitable)

Some of the most common scenarios that come up after a storm…

🏡A downed tree must damage your property.. fence, house, shed, etc. in order for it to be covered

🏡 Unfortunately your neighbor’s tree on your house/fence is your problem, not your neighbors - he/she didn’t make that tree fall on your side

🏡 Flood is not covered under your Homeowners (flood typically means any water rising from the ground)

🏡 You are encouraged to perform any emergency/temporary repairs to avoid any further damage to your property. Don’t wait on us! Save your receipts!

🏡 Widespread damage slows down normal processes. Patience is required as adjusters, contractors and repair services are back logged and inundated with a large volume of work. Thank you in advance!
