John helped lead the Bobcats to a 40-24 win over the Hollister Tigers last Friday! John delivered an outstanding performance with 75 rushing yards, 78 receiving yards, and 4 touchdowns, plus 2 tackles on defense. An impressive showing on both sides of the ball and a performance worthy of recognition! But this recognition is about more than what happens on the field. It honors the hard work, dedication, and commitment it takes to represent your school, your teammates, and your community with pride.

It is a rare privilege to work alongside a leader who redefines what excellence in leadership truly looks like. For all of us at CS Bank, that leader is Charlie Cross.

Today, we are proud to share that Charlie has been named a finalist for the 2026 Arkansas Business Executive of the Year Award in the Financial Executive category.

While his title is Chief Executive Officer, those who know him understand that the word that fits him best is servant. Charlie leads a bank with more than 114 years of history, yet when asked what he is most proud of, he does not point to a balance sheet. He points to the family who was approved for their first home. The farmer who held on through a difficult season. The young customer who opened a first savings account and left standing a little taller.

That is the heart of Charlie's leadership. He remembers names. He shows up. He believes in people before they believe in themselves, and he has a remarkable ability to make everyone around him rise to meet their fullest potential. He carries the responsibility of a longstanding institution and the warmth of a trusted neighbor all at once, never allowing the weight of the former to overshadow his commitment to the latter.

So to Charlie, on behalf of every teammate whose work you have quietly made better: thank you. Thank you for leading with integrity and heart. Thank you for reminding us that community banking has always been, at its core, about people.
