He spent a few years in Manhattan Beach, CA before his parents moved the family to Woodland Hills CA in the San Fernando Valley. Patrick enrolled in the Cal State University system, first Cal State Northridge then Cal State Los Angeles, where he studied finance. They dated a few years, then were married in 1991 in Santa Barbara, California. Their first child, Cameron Crawley, was born in 1993. The
ir next daughter, Micaela Crawley, was born in 1996. At this point, Patrick and his wife decided their family needed a change. He had visited his brother, who had moved to Cottage Grove, OR. He fell in love with the Pacific Northwest and knew he would eventually end up in a place like the Pacific Northwest itself. Patrick convinced his wife to head north in 1996 when he dropped her and their children with her mother in Yuba City, CA (near Sacramento) while he got his business going here in Eugene. For a year, Patrick lived with his parents in Cottage Grove, OR (they had retired here in 1990) and after exactly one year, he moved his wife and kids to a little apartment in Eugene. They eventually bought their current house in North Eugene in January of 2000 and have been there ever since. When Patrick first started in the lending business, he could actually work out of your home (not anymore) and as a result, was able to be around his kids a great deal of the time and literally watched them grow up. I began my current profession by working with my brother Tim Crawley as a loan officer in his company, Aerie Mortgage and Investments. After an apprenticeship of 5 years, I started my own company, Dream Home Mortgage. Eventually I went to work, still as Dream Home Mortgage, but no longer the owner of an independent S-Corp as before, but rather as a branch office of a larger company located in Roseville, CA, American Pacific Mortgage Corp. I did this because you had to be able to offer the FHA loan to stay competitive and this offered the best
solution. My interests include music (I have played the guitar for over 40 years, the piano for 30 years), athletics (though I don’t look it I played football, basketball and baseball), scuba diving (from the Pacific Northwest to the Hawaiian Islands I have logged over 55 dives), getting involved in the community (member of the Knights of Columbus---a fraternal Catholic charitable organization, Sons of the American Legion---an organization that supports our armed forces here and abroad, St. Paul Catholic Parish, a member of the Republican party---though this affiliation has grown more tenuous over time due to our current and suspect political processes).
